Tuning Relationships with Music: free counselling for parents and teens

Tuning Relationships with Music is a form of family counselling that I have developed, for parents and teenagers who would like to communicate better and have less conflict in their relationship with each other, where a parent also has had trauma earlier in life. I am testing out this therapy to see if it may be helpful for families, for my PhD studies at the Mindful Centre for Training and Research in Developmental Health, at the University of Melbourne. Because this is a research study, counselling is free, and families will be given a JB HIFI gift voucher in thanks for their participation. Families can do the counselling at Eltham Relationship Counselling, at Headspace in Craigieburn, or at Mindful in Flemington. You and your teen will be asked to fill out some questionnaires and complete a music-based assessment before and after counselling, to see if anything has changed in how you relate with each other. Call or email me on either 0409 949 300 or at vcolegrove@student.unimelb.edu.au if you would like to know more.
